Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Chronicle (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo +Digital Copy) (Blu-ray)
a buddy of mine got an early dvd of this movie today and told me i should check it out. I watched it with an open mind and it was definitely good enough for me to pre-order it on blu-ray a few minutes ago. i love the show Heroes and this is what it reminded me of. and it also reminded me of the anime Akira in some aspects (an outcast who abuses his powers and when the boy yells and bust windows out buildings around him). just normal everyday people who were given powers. i wouldnt recommend this to people who dont like movies were people are holding the camera the whole time. ex: cloverfield. but if you do like Heroes, i would recommend purchasing this movie.

I, too, watched a "screening" copy of this film. Also I really enjoyed the first two (only) seasons of HEROES on blu-ray. The remainder of the seasons of HEROES I did not like and didn't buy the blu-rays.
I must say I didn't know what to expect of CHRONICLES before I watched it. I had not heard of this movie before so I knew nothing about it. I had a free night with nothing to do so I began watching the disc.
I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. And I think most people who liked HEROES will enjoy this movie as well.
It's a Sci-Fi/Fantasy film with a good story and good acting. I would rate this 4 stars just on the movie alone. The dvd transfer looked and sounded great and I can only imagine the blu-ray transfer being superior to the dvd. The price right now ($28.00) is rather high and while I want to buy it, I will have to wait for it to go down in price to about 20 bucks.
