This review is from: Christmas Santa Holiday Classic Train with Sound, Light, and Real Smoke by MOTA (Toy)
This train is the perfect size and looks durable enough for a Toddler. However, there is a MAJOR issue with the product that overwhelmingly overrides any positives about the rest of the design -- the smoke. Imagine an electrical fire, or the smell of burning plastic. That is the odor that this train emits. And the smoke looks to be real smoke caused by some unknown chemical reaction within the unit. The look on my son's face when he first smelled it was "why are you trying to kill us, daddy?" There is enough smoke put out by this train to fill a small room. And the worst part is that there is no setting to turn off this feature!! It produces this smoke whether it is in the "smoking" mode or the "lights and music" mode.
So unless you plan to use this machine outside, unless you and your kids appreciate the foul smell and unknown health effects of mystery smoke.

Actually there is a button on the train that can set the smoke off or on. Look to the side and there is a off / on / on smoke button that you can adjust if you want it to smoke or not

Actually, as I stated in my post, that button does nothing...the train smokes whether it is placed on that setting or not.

I was interested in this but the first thing that concerned me was the smoke feature. I wonder if I could drop some dry ice in there instead. Thank you for posting this comment!

I would love it if you could make a seperate switch for the sound/light function as well as the smoke function. Two seperate switches make more sense. This way we could shut whatever function you want off. I was thinking of ordering several sets of this but have decided against it until this matter is corrected. I know my granchildren would love the sound and lights running all the time while in use. The smoke function would be used temporarily to show people and then shut off as we have no idea what kind of carcinogenics we are inhaling from the smoke function.
