This review is from: The Virginian-Pilot (Kindle Edition)
I'm so disappointed in the Kindle version of the VA Pilot! I read the newspaper for news and information, but just as importantly I like to be entertained and plan activities!
But the e-newspaper is bare bones. I do not think it is worth $7.99! So, do I continue to pay almost $50 a month for the paper version or try the online version which also does not have my comics!

The paper version doesn't cost $50 per month for home delivery! It's more like $120 for the entire year! I am kind of disapointed that it appears that I would have to buy an extra subscription for the Kindle though. I would have thought that subsccribers would at least get a special price.

Agreed. I also get the paper version and pay yearly. Would make sense to be able to get a discount if I also buy the electronic version

The Pilot definitely agrees with the wish to provide a discount to print subscribers! However, subscriptions on Kindle are Amazon's. Amazon does not share subscriber data with The Pilot, nor is there a system for The Pilot to provide information to Amazon to provide a discount. There is room for improvement! We hope to offer alternative solutions in the future. Thanks for being a subscriber!

I am a daily reader and would only occasionally use the Kindle for access. Would be good to have the Pilot delivered to my Kindle for those times I can't cozy up to the paper with my coffee.
