Solid Action Post-Apocalyptic/Sci-Fi,

This review is from: The Last Exodus (The Earthborn Trilogy Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
I actually forgot Paul Tassi wrote for Unreality.com until after I finished this book on Kindle and came back to Amazon to see what others thought of it. I placed this book on my Kindle wish list a few months back when I saw him promoting it on his site then promptly forgot about it until I was recently looking for a new book to read.
Having just read the Spin trilogy, it's tough to rank this book very highly by comparison but, that said, it was a solid read. Quick, action-packed, and laced with good humor. Some other comments have complained about the lack of character development, but I felt Tassi did a decent job considering what this book is: a junior author's stylistic first outing in an ever-bloated genre.
The only shudder I felt was during the intro chapters where my hometown of Portland, Oregon was somehow transplanted to the coast of Oregon (its a ways inland actually).
That embarrassment aside, I still recommend this book for those who like action/adventure novels and those who like their sci-fi lightweight and less heady than others.
