This review is from: See Me (Kindle Edition)I wasn't even able to read more than a couple of chapters. This book seems very rushed so far, and there should have been more in-depth description with passages relevant to the plot.
For example, there is a short paragraph in chapter two detailing what she ate for dinner:
"... Then she went into the kitchen and started pulling out ingredients for lasagna. She loved her homemade lasagna and she deserved good food tonight since she worked so hard. While the lasagna was cooking, she made herself a salad with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. She ate the salad, savoring every bite, and then took the lasagna out of the oven. She settled down in her chair and began eating the cheesy, rich casserole, sighing with pleasure.... "
When she lies down later that night, she has a dream relating to noises that she hears in the house. This event seems like it should be more important, yet she spends just a couple of sentences to state that there was a dream- and nothing more.
"... began to read. She started drifting off after awhile and began to dream about hearing noises all over the house. Suddenly she was awake and realized that the noises weren't all in her dream."
After which she goes to investigate said noises in a scared manner. I would have liked to read more about the dream and have the suspense build up.
