1.0 out of 5 stars Why couldn't she let it go?, April 14, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: City of Fallen Angels (Mortal Instruments, Book 4) (Hardcover)
I initially bought City of Bones by chance while at the bookstore and immediately fell in love. I bought the two following books as soon as they were released and though I didn't always enjoy some of the "twists", I admired Clare's creative process of the storyline. This series should have ended with City of Glass. It left off on a good note with minimal questions left unanswered and that's okay! We the readers do not need every answer spoon-fed to us. Instead, Clare rehashed the basic details of the series' past (as she did in Clockwork Angel, mind you... Different settings and names, same general feel and character traits) and patted herself on the back for coming up with another book.

I'm tired of Jace/Clary angst! You can do the "I love you, but I can't be with you!" thing for only so long before it becomes tedious and dull.

I may just have a friend read the next one and give me the thumbs up for actual original content before I think about buying it.

i know it is so irritating that she used basically the same plot for the other books and that she wasnt creative enough to use a new idea.
