Fantastic little yet powerful light,
This review is from: NiteCore SmartPD EX10 R2 Edition LED FLashlight
I have been a Surefire user for years. Currently deployed overseas and got sick of my incandescent Surefire bulbs burning out. I wanted a small light I could carry on me and trust to work every time I needed it. As I started looking at prices on the smaller surefire, I was shocked. I started exploring and came across Nitecore and this particular light. I received it today and it is fantastic.
First, I love that it runs on double AAs. The 123 batteries are harder to find and more expensive, especially when you are deployed overseas. Having the ability to run a strong light on double AAs is a huge advantage.
The light itself if built to last. It has a solid feel, easy to grip and the push button activation is a huge plus. The ability to use it as a "candle" due to the flat base is another big plus.
The light itself if fantastic. Simply to switch between the three main modes and it took me less than a minute to figure out the strobe and SOS option. The light throws a crisp, clear, beam with a tight core and decent spill. I am impressed with the color. Only the slightest blue tint. Operation is easy, and all three of the main modes have their uses depending on what you are doing.
A fantastic light at a great price. The batteries are readily available and the LED will last you for quite a long time. Slightly bigger than the battery that runs it, this Nitecore is a hands down winner!

Your review talks about how it's great the light runs on AA? This light runs on CR123's, i think you made your review in the wrong place :)
