Not for road warriors,
This review is from: Cenzo Italian Leather Messenger Bag (Apparel)
For quality it's probably 4 or 5 stars. For practicality as a traveler, 2 or 3 stars. It's large, bulky, and having to pull back the large flap almost 360 degrees gets annoying, especially on a plane. Every time I reach for this on a plane I wish I bought a smaller case with easy access down the middle. The leather is good quality but scratches easily. Overall, it's a quality bag but somewhat bulky and the pull-back flap is cumbersome in tight spaces.

That's something to think about - the flap. I never thought about how that could be a problem in close quarters. Thanks for the review.

Do you think some people would consider those scratches to be a welcomed patina? Or do the scratches just not look right on this bag, being that it's so pretty?

Yeah, that's a good question Jake. I just bought the bag and was wondering the same thing. I suppose that I would point out that there are no reviews indicating a problem with the bag becoming ugly as it wears....so hopefully that's a yes to your patina question.
Suppose I will find out once I finally get it and start using it.

I have had this bag for almost a year now with daily use to and from office and airline travel once or twice a month. I have a few scratches on it, which stand out, but not necessarily in a bad way. All leather products will develop wear marks over time. The rich color of this bag makes the scuffs stand out a little more than they would on a traditional brown color, but I still think the bag looks great. I get compliments on it every trip I take. The flap hasn't been annoying to me, though now that I've read the above post it may be ;)

Have you had issues with the dye rubbing off on your clothes?

When I have my keys in my pocket on the same side as the bag, I will get light "skid" marks from the bag. If my pockets are empty, I get nothing.
Washes off my machine-washable khakis easily.
