Great Game - Superior Controls,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: DanceDanceRevolution Bundle - Nintendo Wii (Video Game)
I usually don't review wii games but I think this game is far above average so I thought I'd give it a go. When I preordered this game I did not have high hopes as most of the songs seemed too slow to belong in a DDR game (I'm Yours by Jason Mraz? Not your typical DDR fare). Once I started playing the game in choreograph mode though, I realized the faster tempo songs would be way too hard, at least at first. You are moving around a lot - not just stomping your feet.
The best thing about this game? The controls are almost 100% spot on - which is not true for any of the other new dance/exercise games out there. I like Just Dance 2 - my movements are picked up much better than they were in the previous Just Dance - but it still misses a lot of moves that I know I've made. Same with Gold's Gym. That's the one thing I've always liked about DDR - since it uses a dance pad rather than the wimote and nunchuk it is 100% accurate. This game comes pretty close to that - even when using the wimote and nunchuk. The format, with a dancer AND steps and arm movements scrolling up to the arrows on the side, is extremely easy to follow. It may not be as much like dancing as those other titles but it is very fun and for me the instant gratification that comes with seeing my combos rack up is just what I need to keep me playing a little longer.
I did a few songs in classic mode as well and the ones I tried were fun and just about right for my skill level.
I know I am going to use this game a lot. Hope others are inspired to give it a try.

I assume this is the most current version of the DDR but I did not see a song list. Do you mind, listing some of the songs on this addition. Thanks.

I've heard this new version has a mode which utilises the Wii Motion Plus and you can use two Wii remotes, one in each hand, similar to Gold's Gym dance workout; is that true?
For those who are interested, the song list can be found on:

Can you tell me what is included in this "bundle"? Does it come with the controller pad? I couldn't find any information on the listing stating what's in the box.
I'd appreciate any info you can give me.
Thanks. And thanks for the informative review!

It does not seem to have the option to use two remotes nor does it seem to use the wii motion plus.

I have Hottest Dance Party and the pad for that. Is this pad different? I guess I'm asking if this pad is connected to the wii with a cord/wire or not.

Do I need to to buy Wii fit balance board to use with the dance pad?

If it comes with the dance pad, then why does it suggest you buy the dance pad and the second game all at the same time for "only" $97 something? I mean, they call it a "bundle", and then immediately imply you have to buy the pad separately. I don't get it.

I AGREE! I was on customer service chat person for an hour trying to get an answer to that so I can order it! Did you ever buy it? I guess I am going to buy the Bundle and hope it includes the dance pad controller. It was very confusing.
