The plastic connector to the faucet is weak. It lost tightness within 3 months and started leaking. When I tried to tighten it, the internal plastic connector broke completely. Turns out there are only 2 small pieces of plastic connecting the two. Very bad engineering. Try something else.

The second time this happened to me, it went into the trash. Switched to the new Pur filters and have had ZERO problems. Water actually tastes better too.

Don't know which PUR you got but the PUR FM-9400 has the same problem. After a few months of normal use the connection to the faucet starts to leak and no amount of tightening will stop the leak.
