Very shiny, vaguely Christmas-like,
This review is from: Colonel Conk Model 118 Moustache Wax (Health and Beauty)
Col Conk Model 118 wax leaves a shine on my moustache all day. It stays quite greasy without drying and firming up (maybe the 110+ degree weather has something to do with that). I apply it with a small amount on my fingertips followed by combing through; it works well if you don't mind a Vaseline-like film on your fingers that does not wash off. I think the scent is a light cinammon; it's pleasant enough, but remember that it will be under your nose all day. If you're styling a handlebar with points like I am, this wax does not offer any reliable hold (in fact, it makes it look worse than if I just comb the moustache without any wax - Hungarian style). I'll stick with Clubman Pinaud.

The handlebar must the issue here as I have used Col. Conk's almost a year on a full beard and moustache with great success. My beard is fine as opposed to coarse and the Colonel works! A dab of soap removes the small qty of wax remaining from my fingers and after a toweling my hands are good to go. The fragarance dissipates quite quickly or I become acclimated quite quickly. Good stuff, it works for me!
