2-sided DVD presentation,

This review is from: A Time to Kill (1996) (DVD)
This is an excellent DVD with a superb picture and sound. What's not indicated here in the product information is that it is a 2-sided DVD. At 150 minutes long, it's like 2 short movies in one.
The simple menu does not even appear unless you click to it. The movie just starts playing, or if you are on the 2nd side, a scene starts as abruptly as the 1st side ends! There are some chapter stops, but it's like every 5 chapters or so.
My DVD (received from Amazon.com) was not labeled properly. The side with no label is actually side one (assuming you are looking at it, with the playing side down) and the side that IS labeled actually has side two underneath. So you would really have no idea how to start this movie for the first time.
I do like this approach, however. For nearly 3 hours, there were absolutely no skips or pauses. It is just one beautiful movie that flows & plays flawlessly for approx. 75 minutes -- you flip the DVD over -- and it plays perfectly again for another 75 minutes or so. I do not experience that often! There are no special features which is fine with me. It was such a joy to watch such a smooth program.
I'm rating it 4-stars because the DVD is mislabeled by Warner Bros. It would have been nice to know that it was two-sided ahead of time.
