This review is from: Toshiba Dynadock Docking Station (PA3927U1PRP) (Personal Computers)
I have reservations with Displaylink technology. Previous versions has disappointed me with the computing resources required and inability to display motion video (even at low image quality).

However, this dock is outstanding. Everything works (USB, Ethernet, Dual display, Audio). I connect using an Expresscard USB 3.0 adapter. My laptop does not have USB 3.0 built-in. I have two 24" monitors at 1920x1200. My laptop is 13" at 1366x768.

It works perfectly. All 3 displays works at the same time. CPU usage is minimal. Better still, I tried playing those 1080p videos. There is no lag, no stuttering, no defect at all. It performs just like a desktop. Ethernet, Audio, USB peripherals... all works.

Never has a docking station works as good as this, even those that comes natively for the laptops.

What I would like: An ON-OFF switch but it is not a big deal.

Hi D. Liang,

Were you able to use this docking station for dual monitor setting with both monitors at 1920x1200? From the spec, it sounds as if the maximum vertical resolution is 1152. But maybe that's the max if I use it with max horizontal resolution of 2048? If using 1920 for horizontal resolution then this docking station can support 1200 for vertical resolution. Is that correct? Thanks.

I have two 1920x1200 monitors as well. I was able to get the one on the DVI port to run at that resolution, however the other monitor which was plugged into the HDMI port would only do a maximum resolution of 1920x1080. This put black bars on the top and bottom of the monitor and the picture was a little blurry. I really need both of my monitors to run at 1920x1200 so I'm returning this and getting the Lenovo USB 3.0 docking station. It doesn't have all of the audio features or the HDMI port as the Dynadock but it has two DVI ports.
