It's BPA free,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: NUK Mash & Serve Bowl (Baby Product)
The description on Amazon and manufacturer web page does not mention anything about being BPA free. I contacted the manufacturer and confirmed it is actually BPA free. That information is on the packing. Here is some additional information from their customer service: "The food cube tray is actually made from a rubber based material called TPE and I can confirm that this material does pass the UK regulations for food contact."
I tried to mash food using a spoon and it's not as easy as I thought. I like this masher. It's perfect when I only want to prepare one serving of baby food and feed my baby right away. It only takes ~30 seconds to mash one serving of food. Easy to wash, too.

I didn't keep the packaging. If you are looking for the "BPA Free" statement on packaging, zoom in to the second picture on item page. You will see the statement on the right.

To add in the research I just did, the plastic is #7, but that only means that plastic is made of other materials than 1-6 or that it's made of combination materials of those prior numbers. In this case, it's made of PP which is a #5 safe material and TPE. The rubber material is most likely the handles. Ideally, from what I read you should try to stay away from plastics in general but if that is not an option for you, this seems to be safe enough for kids. It is BPA free ( info on the packaging) If I'm wrong, anyone please feel free to correct me with website links that is credible but not extremist. Thanks so much for the reviews that made me think twice about using this. As of now I still will use this, I might just not use it to heat up food in it. Can't wait to start my baby on solids.
