replaced Brita pitcher,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Brita On Tap Faucet Water Filter System Replacement Filters, Chrome, 2 Count (Kitchen)
We bought this filter for my parents who will only drink filtered water as their city water has a very strong chemical taste and smell. They were using a pitcher for all their drinking water so I thought that a faucet filter would be a nice upgrade for them. The installation was a little rough. It was difficult to get the threads on the faucet to line up and form a tight seal with the filter unit. Once everything was lined up, there were no leaks. The biggest drawback is that the flow of the filtered water is pretty slow. It takes several minutes to fill a coffeepot, but it's still faster than waiting for the water to drip through the pitcher. You can flip the switch to get unfiltered water which flows normally.

We discovered that the parts that came with the filter (thread inserts?) weren't exactly right, so I called the company and they sent me stainless steel hardware that seemed to do the trick and the filter fit our faucet like it was supposed to.

I don't believe that you actually timed how long it takes to fill a coffee pot. Once I read your review I did go and time it how long it takes to fill a 12 cup cooffee pot on my faucet which has very low water pressure. I agree it seems like it takes a long time but for 12 cups it took 55 seconds (which seemed like all day). I only say this because I feel you give other buyers a false sense of the product unless very accurate with your review. I am on a mission lately to try and make an impact on bad reviewers. You are not the type I am talking about because your review is not bad at all just in the exasperation. But some people really do leave false reviews or review a product and it is their ignorance that is the problem not the product.
