Not a Book...Maybe a Long, boring article,
This review is from: House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time (Hardcover)
I was anxious to this book after reading some of Kihn's other work, but this book was truly disappointing.
Kihn's description of his offsite sessions on performance feedback was hilarious, though it stopped there for me. I found the book to be lacking a center. It was a odd combination of short, dull articles having nothing to do with the title of the book.
Kihn gets one star for a couple of his characterizations, but overall this book isn't insightful about the dark side consulting business, which does exist. Kihn just doesn't know enough about the business to bring it out, so he didn't.
I wish I could return my copy.
