Amazingly comfortable and great fit,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Levi's Men's Faux-Leather Racer Jacket with Hood (Apparel)So I debated for a long time if I should get this jacket since there were no reviews. Having finally gotten it, I can say it was a great purchase. And I couldn't wait to review it. This thing is very soft and actually very warm. I can see myself wearing this into the early winter...maybe even longer. The sherpa lining really is great. As most sherpa lined jackets the "fur" is on in the body and not the sleeves. The sleeves have a nylon lining to make it easier to slip your arms through without the sleeves of your shirt getting caught. As for warmth I could easily just wear a t-shirt under this and be fine. With the fake hoodie, I look layered too.
So here are some important things I'd like to mention. I'd like to mention the sizing in case anyone is wondering. I'm 5'6" and around 155 lbs. I ordered the small black and it fits like a glove. Sleeve length was perfect. I usually get smalls at the GAP, Banana, J Crew, etc. if you need a reference point. With just the hoodie zipped up it has a semi relaxed feel. With the "leather" zipped up it has a slim fit feel to it. The hood was actually a little on the larger side. It's nice and comfy but I doubt I'll choose to have it up as a fashion statement but will definitely if it's really cold out. It has three pockets on the outside with zippers as you can see in the photo. There's also one chest pocket on the inside of the jacket.
The description says handwash but the actual jacket care label says to sponge wash. Probably not a big deal for most people but I unfortunately have developed sensitive skin as I've gotten older so I need to wash everything before I wear it or I break out into a rash. Sorry if that's too much info. I only bring this up because that's one of the reason's I bought this. I had to wash it before I wear it. We have a front loader washer and I washed this on delicate and low spin with two towels (to balance the load during the low spin) using a mild detergent (Seventh Generation). Then I actually dried it too on extra low. I was nervous about this but the jacket just wasn't drying. 40 min and then I reversed it and 40 more mins. And it came out looking like new. You can't tell I washed it. I'm not telling people to wash their faux leather jackets just that I did carefully and it came out fine. I don't plan to wash this thing regularly but it's nice to know I can again in the future if I have to for some reason.
If there was only thing I would change is that I wish the hoodie part was just a little darker grey. It's pictured accurately on the site. Just my personal preference.

Sorry for the extremely late response...I missed this in my email. It's not the same and I have no experience with it. My only guess is since it's also my Levi's that it would have similar materials and fit. That being said I would also guess that a racer's jacket may be more slim since this one was Sherpa lined. Just a guess though. Good luck and sorry for the late response.
