This review is from: William Mark Air Swimmer Flying Shark (Toy)
I have the shark and first off, it looks way cool. People who see it flying are intrigued and delighted. The only thing that could be improved would be the radio reception. Line of sight is critical and even then, it doesnt seem to have the claimed 40ft range. This would be an excellent revision/upgrade. Also it would be nice if repacement parts were provided or at least available by the manufacturer, so you dont have to scrap a whole shark if a fin breaks. Overall it is way fun though! hours of entertainment and soooo many great applications (i enjoy flying mine at the high ceilinged local bar). Until there is a model with better remote reception, this thing really cant be beat for the money. Youl love it.

So far I found the best thing is to buy one of the balloon kits. Mine was found at Wal-Mart, in the "Celebration" or party section for $19.75. It has an 8.50 cubic foot disposable helium bottle, which filled my shark with ease and has gas left over for refilling. There is also a larger kit which has a 14.50 cubic foot bottle.
These Air Swimmers are literally a gas! What a fabulous toy.

Just to be clear, when you purchase this, does it come with any helium, or is that a separate purchase?

It doesn't come with Helium, you can buy a portable tank which can cost to about $45 and I think it can only fill up 1.5 of the shark, or take it with younto a local store, like Kroger, Meijer and it will cost you $1.99.

Amazon Customer says:
Doesn't it say it's infrared? Infrared isn't radio and would require line of site. Radio reception would be a great add-on though if true.

Jeffrey Miller says:
It says in the instructions, it requires line of site, so that the infrared receivers can work, which means that it's not radio that the remote controls use, but instead light. If you want to see the light, just point your camera phone at the remote in video mode, and click the buttons a few times.
