Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Duracell Coppertop AA Batteries, 28-Count (Health and Beauty)
Batteries came in two packages. I opened 1 pack and every single battery was completely dead! And no I did not put them in backwards...lol I actually looked! :) I put the old batteries back into the pop light that had gone dim and the light glowed, tried 4 more 'new' batteries and nothing. I tested the whole pack and not 1 worked. The exp date on the batteries still have a few years to go so you would think that they would have been okay. Sending back and will just buy more when I'm out shopping. I may be paying more, but at least they will work!

Did you try the batteries in another device? The item itself may of had the issue and not the battery. But if you did try another device with the same battery, then the odds are better of the batteries being defective.

Yes I did....a few different devices as a matter of fact. I haven't had any problems with the store bought batteries.

ive noticed that amazon does sell late model products at a discounted price obviously but now it feels like amazon is the place that good things years ago couldnt get sold. So its sold online for the same price or just a little less but not the actual price its worth now

No this was not "BS". 1 pack did arrive with every single battery dead. I did contact Amazon and I did send them all back for a refund. This review was based on my order. I was under the impression that was what the review feature was for....to review what was bought so others can make a decision based on what they read so they can choose to buy or not.
