CoD: Prestige Edition,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Call of Duty: Ghosts Prestige Edition - PlayStation 3 (Video Game)
This game is pretty good, in my opinion. The graphic are...bleh. Looks like MW3 but still doesnt change your experience. The Campaign has a good story but it is short. The ending tells you there IS going to be a Ghosts 2. I'm not gonna spoil it for you though.
On to Multiplayer! I still had alot of fun online but the one thing I will complain about are the guns. They seem to have less guns and weird looking guns. Some guns will look like WWII era guns but just try to ignore them and use the ones I like. MP runs fine as of right now. I havent experienced any lag...yet. The thing I REALLY like is the Perk System. How it works is that you get 8 slots and each perk costs a certain amount and you choose perks that add up to 8. An example is that Marathon is 2 points to equip. So you have 6 point remaining to choose other perks. I currently run Marathon (2), Agility (2), Scavenger (2), and Hardline (2). You get the idea. If you choose not to have a primary or secondary or maybe none of both then you'll be granted and extra perk slot for not having them. I like it because I can just run with the perks I use most but there are disadvantages because you won't be getting two perks like in the other CoDs. Scavanger would only be picking up ammo from dead bodies and Fully Loaded will start you will max ammo. You don't get both anymore. The unlock system works similar to BO1 where you get points and unlock guns, attachments, killstreaks, etc., but you can unlock any item at any time if you have enough Squad Points tht's what its called. You can unlock the last assault rifle if you want but it'll cost you 10 SP(Squad Pionts). You don't have to be high rank to unlock items, you just need to have enough SP to unlock them. Well for Perks...you can unlock them at any time but you have the option to rank to a certain level or if you really need the perk, spend the points to unlock. If you play MW3 the strike package are self explanatory. Many of you have seen that you can have Squad members. Basically there are 9 other squad mates you can unlock with your points. Each Squad mate has to be ranked up individually and can be customized and later you can compete with other squads to see how your Squad matches up with others. I have not yet tried this so will update later.
Extinction: Yes...the new mode in CoD. I really like this mode. It's a fun alternative to Zombies. One bit of advice though, play with friends rather with strangers. My brother and I played with two others and they were...stupid. Dont wanna sound mean but we kept talking on our mics and they were not cooperating. Maybe we jumped in with some quiet people or something. Well basically you have to go around and bring a drill with you to destroy hives/nests if the aliens. I havent gotten that far to tell you how it end but it gets chaotic when defending the drill.
Extras: With the Prestige Edition you'll get the Season pass, special player backgrounds, patches, camo, the Free Fall DLC map, special reticule, a paracord bracelet, and...THe Tactical Camera!!!! The camera is the best feature of this edition. While most people will argue that this is inferior compared to MW2's NVGs, I still love it. Before i was going to purchase a Contour ROAM camera because I go Airsofting and want ro record some matches. So I bought this edition instead. I did do some recording and the quality is good though not as good as my friends GoPro but still has great quality. If I go Airsofting I will update here a Youtube channel so you can see how the camera performs. You can always go on Youtube as I've already seen people posting videos using their camera. Well thanks for reading my review and see you online!
