5.0 out of 5 stars Best Digital Camera, March 16, 2012

This review is from: Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 12 MP Micro 4/3 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 3-Inch Touch-Screen LCD Body Only (Black) (Electronics)
Amazing little camera, especially for the size. I have nothing but good things to say about this, especially given the quality and size. This is now my main shooting camera, having replaced my Canon T3i Rebel.

Hello Brian,
Since you replaced your T3i Rebel with the GF3, could you outline some differences between them in terms of image quality, specially in indoor, low light conditions?
Could you also specify what lens do you use with the GF3?
Thanks,
DM

Brian Danin says:
I didn't replace it, but I use it far more often. Image quality is great. It's all about lighting / lenses / tripod (I can use a super small Gorilla pod). I'm using the 20mm f/1.7 lens on the GF3 almost exclusively, but I also have a adapters for my M-Mount Leica lenses for tighter portrait lenses.

The biggest difference is size and weight. You do not have TTL composition, but I think of this camera more as a rangefinder. I would love a full-frame one of these that was roughly the same size -- I'm probably asking for too much with that however.
