So, Santa came through this year. After 6 months of lists, hints, and wheedling, this voice changer helmet found its way under the Christmas tree, and we're even considering letting the kid play with it.
It is of sturdy plastic construction, with impressively detailed features, and best of all, it can fit an adult sized head, thanks to an adjustable strap at the back.
It works with 3 AA batteries (included), and using buttons at the side, you can make it say four battle phrases or make the sound of Prime transforming. Of course it also changes your own voice to sound robotic, even though you'll have to at least TRY to sound like Optimus Prime to make it sound genuine. Way cool even if you don't manage to send shivers down Decepticon spines.
The only minor problem is that is also changes the voices of people close to you, so once they're speaking, you'll also hear their voices transform.
Anyway, gotta run - Decepticons to defeat and all that.
