5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent blade grinder for coffee and spices, September 21, 2011
This review is from: Melitta Coffee Grinder (Kitchen)
Mellita has made an excellent grinder. Compact, easy to clean and store. I compare this to other similar types of grinders, krups, Cusinart, and find it does a better job, is quieter and does a very good job grinding. The settings work well, though the grind is not that of the more expensive ($100 and up) burr grinders, it is pretty uniform. The removable bowl makes cleaning easy, the cord storage is very nice. Like anything you have to experiment to get to your desired grind, but it doesn't take long. I recommend this inexpensive grinder. Well worth the money.

Update: Still on top as my favorite grinder. I have been grinding more coffee than ever since I now have a Toddy maker and have to say this does an excellent job.

Do you think this machine would be able to handle coarse grinding nuts?

I received this grinder as a Xmas gift last year. I loved it until today when, after grinding one batch of coffee beans, it just quit. I have checked everything and can't figure out why it quit. Anyone know? e-mail me at ejpegbert@aol.com with help. Thanks
