The Zeppelin Story (The History Press),
This review is from: The Zeppelin Story (Story series) (Hardcover)
For decades, certain people have been fascinated by zeppelins. The invention of Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin was used originally for warfare, but later served to transport men, animals and even vehicles throughout Europe and indeed across the Atlantic to the U.S. The history of the floating derigible is a thin but colorful one and the diminuative book, "The Zeppelin Story," (The History Press) captures the history and accomplishments of this eclectic airship nicely. LZs #1 thru #130, as they were numbered by the manufacturer are all accounted for here, (including the famed Hindenberg and Graf Zeppelin editions) and while most have gone the way of the buggywhip, a few still remain in existence today. Though a small book, this one is packed with information and a useful curio in its own right.
