Good sensor, okay light, pretty easy install,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Mr Beams MB360 Wireless LED Spotlight with Motion Sensor and Photocell - Weatherproof - Battery Operated - 140 Lumens (Lawn & Patio)
I installed this in the front yard near the front door. There's not a tremendous amount of light, such as for security purposes, but it's good for the sole purpose of making sure you don't bump into anything. The sensor seems pretty sharp, when I drive up in my car it goes off just pulling into my driveway. The install was pretty easy, but I feel like it has kind of a clumsy look or something. It's just personal preference though. I bought this one and also the Fulcrum Products Light-It 6 LED Porch Light with Motion Sensor for the back yard. I would give each the same type of review, except that I prefer the look of the Fulcrum and the install was easier.
Update March 25: It's still working, no battery changes yet. The Fulcrum light stopped working after a couple months.
Update June 10: It's still working, no battery changes yet. I'm buying another one for the backyard to replace the Fulcrum.

how is this installed? I am thinking about installing in a big closet but have had trouble drilling holes in there already (adjacent to elevator shaft and i believe I'm hitting a steel box). Thanks.

I've got 3 Fulcrums in the back yard for the 6 Greyhounds (and myself) at night. Strategically placed, they work fine. I've had them for over a year on the same batteries and they're doing great. I looked at this Mr Beams model simply because of price this time around. I'm thinking of adding 1-2 more around the yard as the dogs are getting older (ahem...and so am I) and the holes they dig during the day I could fall into at night. When I got the Fulcrums they were on sale so I didn't pay a lot...the only reason I'm looking at Mr. Beams tonight is the price otherwise I'd go with what I know works. I'm curious as to the installation of the Mr Beams as well so. The Fulcrums were so easy I just used the Dremel I use for trimming my dogs' nails but with a different drill bit. Those were a snap. If I need other tools and measurements etc for the Mr. Beams, I'll probably go back to Fulcrums.
Thank you for your updates. Your kind of review certainly helps me, at least, when I'm researching new products.

I am interested in putting this in my garage so I can see behind my car and in to the open trunk. Would it clear the garage door when it opens or would I have to put it to the side. (I don't want to put it to the side.)
