Actions speak more than words,
This review is from: Scorpions for Breakfast: My Battle with Washington to Secure Our Country's Border (Kindle Edition)
I found this book to be both eye opening and gut wrenching. I have long ago stopped watching the news channels. I am an Independent and have been closely following the GOP race and polls on the net. While browsing I came across a blog about the tarmac incident..... curious about the cause I bought the book. The book comes across as very authentic. If I had any doubts, the hateful personal attacks from those who obviously did not read the book proves just how true it is. What is gut wrenching is the president is now raising the stakes and repeating the same behavior, except it is at the national level and pitting Americans against each other. It is the same ploy.... point the finger at the 1%, it is their fault we don't have jobs, their fault the housing market is still falling with 4 million foreclosures this year (despite being put on hold due to fraud), their fault we have an anemic economy, and their fault the dollar is free falling. The reason for the financial crisis is corruption. Four years later no one has been convicted. But, billions and billions of bail outs, incentives, etc. have continued, without even forcing the primary players in the crisis out of their jobs. Not one person is sitting in jail for the biggest case of corruption, fraud, and insider trading between Washington and Wall Street ever. It started with Republicans and then continued with the Democrats. Instead of doing his job and doing the things I voted him in office to do, he is deliberately inciting class warfare (e.g., 1% predominantly white republican race warfare) by blaming others. I believe history will judge this president harshly. That is if the America I know and love survives his presidency. I have been a swing voter and 100% of the presidents I have voted for have been elected. I don't really like any of the Republican candidates, but I can assure you this swing vote will go to anyone who can beat Obama. I am praying my luck in selecting the winning candidate holds. Anyone who is concerned about the rhetoric you are hearing right now needs to read this book. Governor Brewer's actions to protect her state's citizens speaks volumes louder than all the slanderous words from her detractors. And the President's actions speak volumes about the words that will be coming out of his mouth this year.

Yes, the reason to read the book to get the facts from one who is living this, not waiting for the liberal press to tell us "their view."

Looks like your vote will be wasted then. Obama has done an excellent job of attempting to revive the economy while the Rethugs have been doing everything possible to destroy our economy just to spite Obama. He WILL be re-elected.

You are right everything wrong, everywhere, is Obama's fault. You could have saved yourself a lot of diatribe with a simple sentence. Blame Obama since he is a communist, Muslim, socialist, not a citizen of the USA.... I cannot remember all the other inflammatory titles that are meant to incite fear in the average person who has to work for a living and have a life thus unable to do the research. No matter what it is Obama is for the right is against it; not because it is a bad thing, but rather because that is the strategy to try to make him fail. And why? Is it because the white right will never allow a black man as President succeed in helping the average citizen by leveling the playing field, just a little, between the haves and have nots? The wealthy-white right have had everything their way for a very long time with a powerful lobby that have bought the republican congress and they feel threatened so they have started a slander campaign against Obama, even before he was elected, with the sole purpose of inciting fear of the black man that is President. The change has started and the fear tactics may work for some such as the ones in the tea party that have nothing other than social security to survive on, and some others that were raised in a racist household and believed their parent's racists rants, but that generation is fading away and we are here to stay.

It is sad because this black man (your words) could have done more for his race by using his position to unite the races as it took the whites to get him into office in the first place. He could have left a great legacy. Mr. West, Mr. Cain, and a few others have shown that this nation isn't racist as this post tries to indicate. Me thinks you protest too much.

You should read 'Pity the Billionaire' and see how the GOP manipulates weak-willed people like yourself to help line the pockets of the 1%. And do you sincerely believe that President Obama is the one who started this game? Or were you asleep for the eight years prior to Obama's election?
