Refuse to buy this,
This review is from: Discipline (Audio CD)
I see Ms Jackson in one of those situations where she doesnt know when to stop. At this point 20+ years in the game. Unless she was/is a power house singer there is no way she could still be in the game with the young people out now. This she needs to come to grips with. She needs to move on and and recreate herself. I really feel like she has a future in acting if she can check her ego and work her way up. Some how i doubt this is going to happen. I really wish she would just stop trying to make her so called "comeback". I hate to say it but this will for sure be yet another flop on her list. 3 in a row? Come on. Its kinda like Michael Jordan when it was time and he was still trying to act like he was in her 20's. Ms Jackson just put the mic down and focus on something else u may have ever wanted in your life. Enough is enough.

I heard the samples and I love it, I am a huge fan of Control, Rhythm Nation, Janet, All for you and now Discipline. Domita Jo was o.k I liked 4 songs on that, as with Velvet Rope, 20 Y.0 and Janet Jackson they are also o.k. I have been an avid follower of her career so I will buy this, I still think she has what it takes with the young ones, I like some of them too since your making a comparison, such as Britney and Christina. let us see you do better!!!!!.

WOW! sounds like you know Miss Janet personally. We are all entitled to our own opinions, however if you have not even listened to the music, how can you be so preachy and judgmental? anyone with ears knows that Janet is not known for her vocal talents. She is more of an entertainer and at 41 yrs old, the so called "young ones" cannot hold a candle to her talent. she created the road for these new girls and has put out some really good music in the past 20 yrs. music is subjective, what one may like, others may not. is this janet's best, perhaps not, but it certainly derserves more than the 1 star you gave it. (in my opinion!)

I can agree with you Jeffrey. How I look at it, Janet released her first album in 1982 and it's now almost 26 years later and she's still releasing albums. Artist has come and gone, but Ms. Jackson is still around making music. I'm sure we all have our favorite picks when it comes to her albums, but the main point is that she's still going and I don't think she's slowing down anytime soon. Not many artist in the music industry can say that they've made it to their tenth studio album, but Ms. Jackson can.

I'm not calling the "young ones" talented, but sadly Miss Janet is starting to sound a lot like them.

THis is what I hate about some Amazon reviews....This isn't a review! The person "refuses to buy the album". So either he or she did not listen to it or...I don't know. It's not a review. How can anyone say this was "helpful". It says nothing but boring opinions on...nothing. It does not even attempt to talk about the album!

"Reviews" like this should get automatically deleted, there's nothing about the album at all.
