Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is an OEM battery, not a knockoff, and thus will work with any camera that was originally equipped with it. This battery is the same battery that you will have to pay at least 1/3 more for at the camera manufacturer's website. Buy it here and get the same battery for less money. Can't be beat. As a side note, Panasonic has an updated program for their cameras that can detect if a non-panasonic battery is being used in their cameras and will shut the camera down. I would imagine that all cameras that Panasonic now ships out will have some type of this programming. Use a knock-off if you want to try but don't be surprised if it doesn't work.

I wish that I had read this review before buying a cheaper ($17 + shipping ) on ebay. When I inserted the non OEM battery the DMC-ZS3 camera it displayed "This battery will not work in this camera" then shuts down. I now have a worthless battery that cannot be returned. Thanks for your review. I'm going to order this battery today from Amazon.

Did you purchase directly through Amazon or from another seller? I purchased through Vortex Cable and got a piece of junk...it's that DMW-BCF10E that doesn't work. It's not the real thing. Which sellers actually sell the original genuine Panasonic battery?

I have the Panasonic DMC-TS2 camera. The original OEM battery that came with it is the "Panasonic DMW-BCF10PP Battery for Select Lumix Cameras", as described in the product listing's title. The battery PICTURED looks just like mine and if you look, it's the DMW-BCF10PP, with specs @ 3.6v 940mAh. But discrepancies occur in the product DESCRIPTION. It states it is the "DMW-BCF10" and not the DMW-BCF10PP #note the PP#, which I have, want, and is pictured. It goes on to say it is rated at "740mAh" and not 940mAh which I have, want, and what is pictured. I want to buy a spare battery that compares to the product title LISTING and product PICTURED. I want the DMW-BCF10PP rated at 3.6v @940mAh. I'm concerned that if I order from this listing I will get the battery that is DESCRIBED instead of the battery that is LISTED and PICTURED. I'm curious, gwb1943, what did you get when you ordered your battery?

Bought it directly form Amazon. It's the real deal and is OEM battery.
