Outstanding for both review and practice questions,
This review is from: United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination (Paperback)
I have yet to find another review book, in any subject, that is of the same quality as this. The subject review is incredible, and the material is written in such a way so as to be both readable and comprehensive. In addition, the practice problems at the end of the section are excellent, as they come straight from the book itself and leave no room for argument. Each chapter also concludes with example DBQ documents and questions, historical perspectives, and practice essay questions. Furthermore, sprinkled throughout the book are short sections explaining how to deal with the DBQ (unlike many other review books, they are not dumbed down and offer very helpful tips).
Also, unlike other review books like Barron's, this one is not riddled with typos and errors (in fact, I have yet to find a single mistake). The only caveat: the answers to the practice questions are not included in the book; however, your AP US History teacher should have access to them through Amsco itself. Be sure to ask early so you have them well before the May AP.
HIGHLY recommend this book, both to review for the AP and to complement an AP US History course. Amsco publishing does offer it for less than Amazon, so see if they have it available before you buy through here.
