1.0 out of 5 stars This company should be sued...horrible product..., June 3, 2009
This review is from: Strike N Swipe Reusable Golf Impact Tape Leadbetter NEW (Sports)
I purchased this product at a local golf store and I was excited to get one on my club to try it out. I went to the nearest range and threw one on my 7 iron. One word...USELESS! Not only did they not show a clear ball strike, but they were difficult to "erase" and eventually were ruined after hitting about 5-10 balls. If you don't believe me, search the internet and you'll find tons of people that feel the exact same way...go ahead...I'll wait.

I have noticed a major online golf store does not even carry these anymore. Thanks for the warning!

While I would be the last to debate about the importance of the impact point on the clubface, impact tape seems to be the worst way to get this information. You won't get all that many shots before it has to be changed; it is difficult to get off; it is not cost effective.

The best method is a dry erase marker. It's easy to apply and wipes off easily with any cloth or paper towel. You can make repairs to zones. It's also dirt cheap. Martin Hall on Golf Channel made reference to it recently although I have been using it for years. Got the tip from an old timer one day on the driving range.
