Welcome back to the wonderful world of Downton Abbey!,

This review is from: Masterpiece Classic: Downton Abbey Season 2 (Original U.K. Edition) (DVD)Season 2 of 'Downton Abbey' does not disappoint! It's sure good to be back with this lovely cast of characters for more! Sure, there is some predictability in some of the sub-plots (that's to be expected when the foreshadowing was done so well in Season 1), but there are enough turns and twists to keep the series SO interesting! And best of all, the storyline of so many of the characters we know and love are brought back for further view: the world of Downton Abbey is so enthralling and captivating, that I know you will love it as I do. A chance to really delve into the lives of those involved, and a chance for more of their stories to play out: I'm happy to see that the U.S. version is the original U.K. UNEDITED version, and that they are making that clear...the full production is what is wanted here! I would HIGHLY recommend this follow-up, to a beloved first series: it measures up, and hits the mark enough to satisfy those of us who fell in love with 'Downton Abbey' as a series!
NOTE: This US (UN-EDITED UK version) does include the Christmas Special ~ it is not listed on the packaging, but insert disc 3, and you will find a delightful suprise!

Totally agree with you - this second series is just as good as the first. It may be "different" but it is still compelling - and wonderful television.

Not to be too nitpicky, but it's Downton Abbey. :)

Yeah, I know what you mean - there is always room for improvement, but I just loved it! Great television is right!

No problem! I thought it was Downtown when I first saw it. And then they kept calling it "Downton" and I finally got it. Haha.
