This review is from: Mister Rogers' Neighborhood: What Do You Do with the Mad That You Feel? (DVD)
This is a good DVD and I think it was of help to my grandson, but I do think it's abit outdated.
I love Mr. Roger's, but think the same message could be updated into a format that young children
would better appreciate and be better at getting their attention. My husband found it boring...
It's purpose is to help a child deal with anger and if they are bored, it won't work. That said,
I used one of the techniques from the DVD and encouraged my grandson to take a deep breath when he
was upset, and when he did that, he had a big smile on his face....and the dark cloud disappeared.
So, this DVD is helpful.

Mr Rogers died in 2003. So yeah - it might be a little "outdated" from your Nov 21, 2009 review.

Well of course your husband is going to find it boring! He's a grown up!

Watch the video here:
Children are likely to get bored with a program like Mr. Rogers if they've been exposed to a lot of over-stimulating TV. A show like Mr. Rogers (while perhaps a little dated these days, the messages are still relevant) helps prepare children for the real world vs. simply distracting them.
