This review is from: Medal of Honor: Warfighter - PS3 (Video Game)
Short version for experienced gamers:
At the end of level one, top of a staircase, you come face to face with chopper floating in front with both side machine guns firing directly at you. All you have to do is pick up one of the RPGs (conveniently an endless supply at your feet) and shoot the helicopter. Remember, all the while a barrage of machine gun is strafing you. I stood right in front, making no attempt to dodge, and purposefully missed the target six times. I TOOK NO DAMAGE AT ALL. NOT A SCRATCH. At it just floated there in front of me. Finally I shot it...mercy killing. (This was done on "veteran level", or whatever MOH's highest level with completing a full play through).
This game is an insult to the "military FPS" genre. The graphics are on par with Battlefield 3. That's where the quality ends.
I play games. I love games. I kick myself for not heeding my own advice.
Saddest part is apparently there are 6-8 actual SEALs currently on probationary leave without pay, and possible court marshaling/dishonorable discharge because they gave away too much inside info (the "silent code" type) while they were consulting on the game. These guys have ruined their careers to help make this gamer, and the creators of the game honor them with a double-decker of a game.
If you really feel the need to spend money, don't buy this game. Instead donate the money to any of the orgs that aid our troops and their families.
