Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Prize (DVD)
If you're thinking to order this DVD---be VERY careful! I did, and instead of the 1963 movie with Paul Newman I received a DVD-R with a totally different movie. Both the disc's label and jacket show Paul Newman's image, but still the movie is another one.

R. Marco says:
Dear Marco, I wrote a similar review a few days before yours, unexplicably Amazon.com decided not to post it and as a result you and possibly many other incurred in the same unfortunate experience of buying this fake product. I think Amazon should put a button or something next to the review button to report frauds like these directly to a department specifically dedicated to investigate this kind of felony and should consider marking with a red/black flag any item under investigation, for the customers to be immediately aware there is something suspicious going on. Not everybody reads reviews.

This customer refers to an older DVD release, of course.

What R. Marco experienced, should not happen to customers who order the DVD-R in the Warner Archives series.

But bear in mind that the Warner release is on DVD-R, a medium that has a shorter shelflife than a proper DVD,
much like a DVD-R that you have burned yourself at home.
You won't notice the difference now, but after a few years, you might not be able to watch the film anymore.
