This review is from: Maradonia and the Gold of Ophir (Paperback)
The first book in this series by Gloria Teusch was very poorly-written, even for a first novel. I was thinking that perhaps, with some more experience under her belt and having seen the feedback to her first book, Ms. Teusch would have taken all of it to heart and learn from it. It wasn't so much a matter of personal opinion of the critics as it was a honest dismay at the spelling, grammatical, and formatting mistakes.
Sad to say, it seems that nothing has been learned here. If people truly are passionate for writing, that's wonderful, but basic effort and knowledge of grammar and writing rules is a must before being taken seriously as an author, however experienced (or not) you are.
