3.0 out of 5 stars Easy to set up, but not as clean as a paper background, December 22, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cowboystudio 24-Inch Photography Tent Studio Light Box/Tent (Electronics)
I take photos of my wife's cupcakes and cakes for her business. I was getting tired of setting up the paper background with strobes with attached umbrellas. This is great for quick shots, but if you want to stay out of Photoshop, you'll want to use it with the Novoflex Magic Studio System, Opaque Portable Shooting Surface - 39" x 20". See the photos I have added to the product page there.

The Novoflex Studio System currently listed for $150 at Adorama. This Photo Studio is $30. The Novoflex Studio System is in a totally different class of product and price. That's like saying, "If you're not happy with your Honda Civic, you should get a Mercedes Benz". If I wanted to pay $150 for a studio box I might consider your suggestion but the vast majority of people looking at the sub $50 market aren't interested in spending $150.

Wow, they really upped the price in 2 years! I still use the box and the surface. I paid $99 for the surface and never had to use paper again. It has definitely paid for itself, especially in time savings since I have SUPER clean seamless backgrounds.

Hi, thanks for your input, just wondering how you use both these products? I have seen the pictures you uploaded on the other review but can't understand how you set it up? Thank you ! Also would you still recommend the translucent over opaque surface?
