Happy but a few quirks,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
What can i say, for the price and performance this thing is a win. To verbalize how pleased i will give you the internet speed results from my old dlink router and e1200. On a good day i got 5.23 mbps/0.96 mbps; using the same server, i tested the cisco e1200 router and got 22.63 mbps/0.97 mbps. I was so impressed that this little thing can give such a boost, but soon found its achilles heal being the signal strength. If i use it in the same room i get a steady 5 bars, however i i go to the next floor the signal drops to 3 bars. This is not a big issue because i operate in one room in which the router resides, but it may bother some people depending where you set up your router.
Lastly the thing that bothered me the most was the set up. I know a set up CD was included, but i am an oldschool tech savant and went directly to 192.168.1.1, only to be directed to a page telling me to insert the CD. Ok... i proceed to do so, the steps are fairly easy so i breeze through it. After i am done i figure i can again try the 192 ip option, only to find out it conflicts with the cisco program i installed. It bothered me at first, but soon got use to opening the program to make any changes.
All in all, this is a good buy. I got it refurbished at a very low price, so time will tell whether or not it is durable.
