1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY!!!, September 30, 2010
This review is from: Vivitar ViviCam X018 - Strawberry (VX018-RH) (Electronics)
THIS CAMERA IS AWFUL!!! I bought it to replace my old Kodiak camera (Which I actually really liked) and for the same price, I bought this Vivitar camera. I thought it would be just as good... WRONG!!! This camera dosent even have a lens, and even though it is 10 mp, my old $20 dollar camera from walgreens is better than this!!! I have never dropped it and now the screens broken. Whenever I turn it on the screen is just white. It is a very cheap camera.

Wow! A camera without a lens and it still takes pictures. Even though you don't like it, if it actually takes pictures without a lens, we may be on the verge of some new awesome technology!

Well, in theory it could be a pinhole.

But the specs sure say it has a 4x zoom lens, not even a fixed-focus.

I've had this camera for a few months now and I have only been able to take about 5 pictures from it. Why? Because as soon as I turn it on, it dies after taking about 3 pictures and I wish I was exaggerating. I put in brand new fresh batteries hoping it will make and difference but nothing. The pictures I did take from it, came out cheap and ugly. I then remembered that I my first camera was also from Vivitar which was as equally bad. I guess it's my fault for not learning my lesson. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this to even my worse enemy.

I didn't know the chewing tobacco people (Kodiak) made cameras as well. Who knew?
