NOT a universal fit!!!,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Conair Pro Tourmaline Universal Finger Diffuser, Black (Health and Beauty)
While this might be a great diffuser, it is NOT, as other reviews have mentioned, a universal fit. Even on my Conair 1875 hair dryer, which is the same brand as the diffuser, this diffuser would not stay on. Too bad, because I was looking forward to it.

Did you find a diffuser that does fit the ionic cordkeeper 1875 - I too am looking for one!

Me too! I also have my trusty conair 1875 hair dryer that I love. I am beginning to think Conair wants you to buy a whole new hair dryer + attachments, rather than just get a diffuser that fits the indestructable (and quiet) hairdryer they made.
I might take a chance on the Babyliss CPD05 Conair Pro. It looks wider. But there isn't any fb on it yet.

I too am looking for one to fit my Conair 1875. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I checked a local beauty supply store & the saleslady (who seemed to know a lot) told me I probably wouldn't be able to find a new diffuser for my perfectly good but older model dryer. We checked all the diffusers in the store - none fit. Since it's a hair dryer and not a vintage Porsche or Ferrari, I caved and purchased a new conair 1875 dryer (think it's the shine ion model) that comes packaged with a diffuser. I still have my old conair 1875, stored in the box the new one came in - good for back-up and I can use it when I don't diffuse which is most of the time. I usually apply product, scrunch, loosely put my hair up in a clip and let it dry like that.
As an aside, I think it's reprehensible that whatever company owns Conair thinks nothing at all about millions of perfectly good hairdryers going in to land-fills and our oceans simply because it's more profitable to NOT make a part to fit the old dryers. Completely greed-driven.
Nevertheless, for your own convenience, my suggestion is to purchase a new dryer that comes with a diffuser. hope this helps.

How did the Babyliss CPDO5 work on your 1875? I need a diffuser and can't seem to find one that will fit that 2.5" end of my Conair 1875 either. . . Thanks!

Thank you for this review. I also have an older 1875 and am searching for a diffuser that fits. I will NOT by a new Conair dryer if I can't find a diffuser to fit my perfectly good 6 or 7 year old 1875. I will purchase another brand and steer clear of Conair products in the future. I abhor planned obsolescence.
