1.0 out of 5 stars Hoodwinked, December 1, 2012

Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The 4-Hour Chef: The Simple Path to Cooking Like a Pro, Learning Anything, and Living the Good Life (Hardcover)
This book has some good tips but why all of the other stuff that has nothing whatsoever to do with cooking, food, etc. I feel hoodwinked and want my money back. This guy is totally narcissistic.

You may be right about the narcissism, but it doesn't really matter. I would definitely advise reading *critical* reviews of Tim's work before buying. He is a master of hype, as well as an excellent researcher and storyteller, but his style definitely doesn't work for everyone.

Sorry for the confusion, kmbm. The book, as indicated in the subtitle, is intended to be about a lot more than just cooking. For purely cooking, I quite like "Cooking with Jamie" (Jamie Oliver) and "Mission Street Food".

Happy holidays to you and yours,

Tim

KMBM - I think you're reviewing the wrong book. You might want to look at the video trailer...

I guess you didn't read anything, I mean ANYTHING, about the book before you purchased? Seems pretty clear that it's about more than just cooking...

We didn't land on a cooking book, a cooking book landed on us.
