This review is from: Lionel Little Lines Polar Express Train Set (Toy)
At the last minute, I found this on Amazon after resigning myself to going to hobby shops hoping to find it in time for my son's 2nd birthday. Thank goodness! It arrived as ordered and I couldn't wait to put it together-VERY simple to do. Once I had it up & running, my son took over the controller and can't seem to put it down! He asked what the different cars were and names them every time the train rounds the track! Since we see Amtrak trains as we are traveling to and fro, I used the 'all aboard' call to help him identify trains. This set makes the sound as well as train sounds and whistle. He absolutely loves it! Lionel-thanks! Amazon, you came through again!!

Have you had any trouble with the train going up the inclines? We bought this for our son and a recent review says the train can't make it up the hill. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this. I don't want him to be disappointed on Christmas morning.

C. Broberg says:
We have owned this train for three years now, and we have never had a problem with the engine pulling the other cars up the incline or with derailing. It's a fairly simple train set, but it runs smoothly and has captivated our now 4-yr old for years. I just hope you don't get sick of hearing "This is the Polar Express!" over and over and over again. Our son loves to push the button that makes it say that phrase. :)
