An amazing movie that sucks you in and doesn't let go. Words can not do this justice. Watch this! I say A+,
This review is from: The Perks of Being a Wallflower (DVD)
"Welcome to the island of misfit toys." Charlie (Lerman) is a very very shy boy just starting his freshman year in high school. From his first day he counts down the days till he graduates. He meets two seniors Sam (Watson) and Patrick who help him adjust. There are few movies that can suck you in in the first minute. This is one of them. This is a movie that has a character that everyone can relate to, which is very rare these days. There are also movies that are so good that words can not express how good they are. This is also one of those. I honestly can not express how great this movie is and can not recommend this highly enough. I was actually fighting back tears almost the entire time (I almost made it) and for me saying that about a non-sports movie that is saying a lot. I really have nothing else to say except this is an absolute must see movie. Overall, WOW...just WOW. I give this an A+.

I totally and wholeheartedly agree with your review! My 16 year old daughter kept raving about this movie to me (her "old man") and we sat down and watched it last night. I was entranced. I could not take a break from it at all. We even gobbled up all of the extra features on the dvd (I love deleted scenes because they give you so much more insight into the movie). I thanked her when it was done for getting me to watch one of my most favorite movies of all time.

I agree with both of you. Wonderful characters. So accepting of each other right from the start. This is a rare movie. The two DVD commentaries add so much depth and enjoyment. I first saw this in the theater after reading the book and was very moved. Then I bought the DVD. THEN I downloaded it so I could have it on my Kindle Fire everywhere I go. I love this movie that much.

Coachman: My husband also felt compelled to watch all the extra features straight after viewing this movie - at the urging of myself and our daughter. To say he was blown away by both the wonderful acting and twist-laden storyline is an understatement.
