My new favourite reference book,
This review is from: Measuring the User Experience: Collecting, Analyzing, and Presenting Usability Metrics (Interactive Technologies) (Paperback)This book is absolutely fantastic. I received my copy of it last night and stayed most of the night reading through it as I simply couldn't put it down. I've been working as an interaction designer / usability tester for a couple of years and this has overnight become my new favourite reference book. It's easy to read without glossing over essential detail (a criticism I have of many modern usability books). The advice on graph selection would make both Edward Tufte and Stephen Few proud. This book is filled with practical advice on how to communicate data, manage integrity and measure the user experience in a business setting.
I agree with the previous two reviewers that this book is a must have bible for everyone involved in usability evaluation.

I am a recent Project Management graduate and I work as a Quality Analyst in Houston, TX. I have a bachelors in Computer Science so tech stuff always amazes me. I have done SEO for a fair amount of my career before I was a Quality Analyst. The things that I learned from my SEO career is user experience is much more important that what every one thinks. I am looking to learn more about User Experience. I am not sure where to start, what book to buy. May be I ll get in to the designing part later, but I am interested in knowing what to observe in a user and how to implement those in the website and other things like metrics and basic interaction steps. What would be the first book you would suggest me to get for this.
email@example.com is my personal email.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Thanks in Advance Smith!
