Unfortunately, the Seiko SNA411 (and the SNA414) do need to have the battery replaced every couple of years. My biggest fear regarding this, is the watch dealer may scratch the stainless steel case and bracelet while replacing the battery. When I take my watch to a qualified, authorized dealer to have my SNA411's battery replaced, I'll try to remember to instruct the dealer to be very careful not to scratch the watch's high-polished finish.

This looks just like a Breitling watch.... but is it as good? its not self-winding which i find disappointing.

Hello, no winding necessary. It has quartz movement. It's pretty big and hefty. A good value in my opinion.
