I agree with a majority of the other poor reviews. Ally is incredibly annoying. There's nothing I liked about her. Not one thing. The story has no flow whatsoever. It's basically the ramblings of an incredibly immature teenage girl. I am a sucker for YA Romance and a female main character can be done tastefully and with some kind of meaning to her character and her point of view. This was such crap. With the Ughs and Grrrs and particularly the Purrrs. Yes she purrs. Because people actually do that.
The story isn't consistent either. Griffin will flat out tell Ally he likes her, then a few pages later she has no faith that he likes her. She'll decide that Griffin is what she wants and she's done with Aiden and then in the next sentence she's pining for Aiden again. PS Aiden is clearly a closet case.
I don't think this author has ever met a teenager. The way she writes them is so unrealistic. Including their school schedules and the way they seem to be able to just roam the school whenever they feel like it.
I had given up about halfway through but with it being a "long novella" - a category I'm not even sure exists - I decided to stick with it in the hopes that Griffin might make her a better character. So I'm reading and all of a sudden I get to the end and it's just over. Out of nowhere. It just ends. No resolution to the story.
The ONLY redeeming quality of this book was Griffin. He was an excellently written character. But even he can't make this book worth the time and money.
