1.0 out of 5 stars Not science, not philosophy, and completely incoherent., February 8, 2013
By
This review is from: The Situation of Gravity (Kindle Edition)
Cutting edge science is done by people who know science, especially at the fundamental level. This author has no knowledge of science so his ponderings on Gravity are completely confused. His total lack of a foundation in any science is apparent from the first page, and he prominently displays it on every subsequent page.

If you know science, this book is a waste of your time and money. If you don't know science, this book will cause more harm than good, unless you might want a prime example of what to beware of in writers of the NEW "Theory Of Everything."

Quinn obviously has not read the book, I suspect the name is an alias for an antagonist I have on some internet websites. He says "total lack of a foundation in any science is apparent from the first page", whereas there is absolutely no mention of any science whatsoever for at least the first dozen pages of the book.
Sour grapes from a talentless twit.

It's a 90 page "revelation" of the "true" nature of gravity, by an author who admits that "there is absolutely no mention of any science whatsoever" in "the first dozen pages".

Any book which is published with the name of the author displayed in a font twice the size as the title on the cover,,,, well in this particular case, maybe one can judge a book by it's cover.

Before I purchase a book by an author who is unknown to me, I generally do an internet search of the author before I even think about buying. I did so in this case, as any potential customer should do. You will find it very instructive and revealing.

A quick visit to Quinn's previous reviews will show you that he is in the habit of writing reviews for books he hasn't read. Here's a quote from one:-
" This review is from: Schaum's Outline of Mathematics for Physics Students (Schaum's Outline Series) (Paperback)
First, please note that I am giving this five stars because Schaum's is first rate, they are miles ahead of everyone in this category of books. I have not seen THIS book..."

I think this tells you all you need to know about Quinn.

Here is a quote from respected scientist Johan Prins about Quinn with regard to this book:
"Your book review by Quinn has probably been done by VendicarE: Another certifiable idiot. Amazon should not allow a book review in which wild criticisms are thrown about without motivation. I just looked; and each one of Quin's wild incoherent statements is not motivated by him/her;

Johan's published profile is:-
"Doctorate: Mat. Science 1966 MSc Physics 1963 BSc Physics and Mathematics 1961 Well cited in physics literature
Research Interests: diamond physics; superconduction
Other Interests: To promote integrity in Physics"

Who are you going to believe?

By all means, go to the link at:

There you will find a first hand example of what one will be spending their money on if they purchase this book. Read the author's own words for free and judge for yourself whether or not this might be worth paying for.

In his first comment, Quinn admits he has not read the book - are you going to be influenced by this troll?
