1st Post Season Marmot LL 3P Tent Review,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Marmot Limelight 3 Persons Tent (Sports)
Recently purchased this Marmot Limelight 3P Tent, which happens to be my first tent. Although I have yet to use it in the field, it appears to offer everything I had expected.
The material is of high quality and construction. Set-up is easy and very intuitive, aided by the color-matched tent tabs and DAC Poles. The 2 entry doors makes access to and from the tent convenient. The 2 vestibules provide additional storage space for gear. This 3P tent appears to offer comfortable interior space for 2 adults and gear. Headroom space is more then I expected for this size tent. I will be using this tent in many cases for kayaking to island and remote campsites, so weight was a concern and this tent delivers a light weight package at approx. 6 lbs. If your tent color is of concern, know that all pictures I saw of this tent appear to be grey, when in fact the rain fly color is a deep green Marmot calls Hatch/Dark Cedar. This was not an issue, as I was not looking for a tent with orange in it.
I am looking forward to my first field test and will provide another update soon.
Post Season Update: Ditto on all of the above; however, although this tent is advertised as a 3-person tent, I found it comfortable for 2 adults with limited storage space for gear inside the tent when using 2 single inflatable mattresses. The tent weathered very well in several severe rain storms keeping everything dry. The reflective zippers/tie-down tabs are a nice feature at night when finding ones way around a dark campsite. I highly recommend this tent and already am looking forward to camping next season.
