I notice the label says "Premium cells from Japan" and then "Made in China" which I've seen on some other battery products, same as "Assembled in China with Japanese components" I guess. Hopefully the Japanese cells are of a better quality (and won't damage your camera or burn your house down if they overheat?). Who knows, when I took electronics in college there were no Ni-MH batteries.
But, I'm going to buy and try this battery pack. Panasonic makes some great point and shoot cameras (at least I love my ZS3 and have bought a couple of FH-2's on sale for friends) but the battery cost situation with the "chipped" models is less than desirable. What if your in the middle of nowhere or in another country and you need a new battery? I know, carry at least 2.
