Works well, good sound, good way to listen to your music,
This review is from: Griffin iTrip FM Transmitter for iPod nano 4G (Silver) (Electronics)
I purchased this to use on long trips and it has exceeded my expatiations. It seems to have the power to override even stations on the same channel it selects unless they are too strong. Then you just simply select a new channel.
I used it first on an 8 hour trip. Yes, during the 8 hour trip I had to switch stations a number of times to get a clear station but that it to be expected when you are traveling through dozens of cities and towns on a long trip. The iPod battery at the end of the trip was still showing half charged so that was good.
I liked that the unit is totally wireless and using the iPod with it is the same as without it. The only recommendation of improvement is it would be nice if it had a port on the bottom to charge the iPod at the same time but in most cases it wouldn't be needed anyway. Plus, that then adds a cord to it which it then is no longer wireless.
Sound quality was as good as a regular strong FM station. No problem with that. Occasionally as you travel around town or on long highways you can hear some background static or interference from the background station but it usually goes away quickly, and if not, simply select a new clear channel. Selecting clear station it does that for you very well by simply pushing one button and it finds the next clearest channel.
These units can be found a many audio places including WalMart, but Amazon has the best price and you can get it sometimes with free shipping. A bargain!
