1.0 out of 5 stars the price is killing the series, May 4, 2012
By
This review is from: Deadlocked: A True Blood Novel (Sookie Stackhouse) (Kindle Edition)
It is becoming a serious leap of faith to buy these books with the mixed reviews, but to be honest with you the thought of paying the price of this book for a kindle is shocking. I am more than happy to pay for my books but seriously, these books are twice the price of many great books for kindle. To me this is just greed. This is a successful series and you are just robbing the fans of this series. I will wait to read this book until the price drops. Sorry.

I thought this was supposed to be a review of the book. Instead, it's nothing but whining about the price. You can't review a book without ever having read the book. If you want to complain about the price of the book, please save it for your letter to the publisher. Please don't put your complaint up on Amazon as a book review.

Oh, yes, she can discuss the price--that's fair game. I'm one of the legions who ponied up fifteen bucks to pre-order what has turned out to be a one-star novel, and I'm not at all happy.

I think that the price is relevant to the review. To ask customers to pay more for the Kindle version than the print version is atrocious. In Australia the price for the Kindle version is $18.95!! That makes the US version seem like a bargain. I have been reading these books for a long time but I just cannot bring myself to pay that much for an e-book. The Publishers ought to be ashamed of themselves for treating their customers so badly.
